Volunteer with TreeFolks for a Tree Care work day at Barkley Meadows Park!

TreeFolks’ Tree Care events consist of mulching, weeding, pruning, and watering of trees we have planted in previous years. Since April marks the beginning of the warm season in Texas, ensuring our trees are well-equipped to handle the summer heat is essential.

Tree mulching is needed to help retain moisture around roots, prevent weed growth, and protect the trees from extreme temperatures. We also focus on educating the volunteers so that they leave the event more knowledgeable about tree care and urban forestry. TreeFolks provides all the necessary materials and training at the event, as well as coffee, water, and snacks. Please bring a water bottle, dress for working outdoors, and take breaks when necessary!
