Membership in TreeFolks, Inc. is a way to multiply the benefits that we bring to the community. In the great and sometimes wacky world of non-profit business we rely some on grant funding. Almost all grants insist that organizations "Match" the money that the grantor gives us. In other words, we have to come up with a dollar for every dollar they give us for a project. That's a way to insure that the organization is making moves to support the project but it is also a measure of the support that we receive from our community. Your membership money is cash that we can use as "match" for grant funds, thus doubling your original contribution.
