More than ONE MILLION trees have been planted to restore the Lost Pines on private lands since the 2011 wildfires and if that’s not a good reason for a party, then I don’t know what is!

Please join TreeFolks and RETREET as we celebrate the efforts of thousands of volunteers to restore the Lost Pines on private property for Bastrop County residents. Over the past four years, neighbors have planted trees for neighbors and strangers have planted trees for strangers. The Bastrop community has pulled together, along with volunteers from all over Central Texas, the state, and the whole nation to help people replant trees at their homes and ranches.

A night of music, pizza, libations and live chainsaw carving await you at Neighbor’s Kitchen and Yard in celebration of the massive effort to restore the Lost Pines. A $10 suggested donation will support TreeFolks and RETREET. Many thanks to Neighbor’s for donating 15% of the food sales for the evening as well. Click here to share the event with your friends on Facebook.

And if that’s not enough, TreeFolks is giving away free trees to Bastrop County residents that very same day, Saturday, February 7 at 10:00 am at Mayfest Park.  Click here for more information about the tree giveaway.
