SUMMARY:John Knox Ranch Sapling Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join TreeFolks and John Knox Ranch for a volunteer tree planting where we will plant 1,000 saplings together! We will meet at John Knox Ranch, 1661 John Knox Road, Fischer, TX 78623, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We will provide gloves, water, snacks, and tools. No experience is necessary, and we will train all the volunteers at the beginning of the event. Please wear clothes appropriate for working outdoors, that you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty. The area we are planting has tall grass and shrubs, so we suggest wearing long pants and boots. You will receive an email the week of the event with an address, a map of the event location, specific details, instructions on where to park, etc.\nWe look forward to working with you!\nOur generous hosts at JKR will serve lunch to all the participants at the end of the event, so please plan to stay and eat with us at 1:00 PM.\nIf you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gillian: volunteer@treefolks.org ( mailto:volunteer@treefolks.org ) (512) 761-8738 cell.\nThis event is part of the Central Texas Floodplain Reforestation Program (CTFRP) ( https://www.treefolks.org/reforestation-services/central-texas-floodplain-reforestation-program/ ). Click the link to learn more about how we are reforesting creekside land in seven counties and whether your land qualifies for free reforestation services.\n
