For a $100 donation, TreeFolks will deliver a 5-gallon, ready-to-plant Kieffer or Bartlett pear<\/span> tree<\/span>, complete with an Audubon Society toy partridge<\/span>, to any household in Hays, Bastrop, or Travis counties.\u00a0 For an additional $50, TreeFolks will even dig the hole and plant the tree<\/span> for you.\u00a0 The trees<\/span> will arrive in time for the holidays \u2013 and will yield fresh pears<\/span> for years to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe trees<\/span> we\u2019ve selected are well adapted to the challenging climate and soils of central Texas. \u00a0\u00a0Plant them in a sunny spot and they\u2019ll grow fast and bear a large crop.\u00a0 They\u2019re ideal for home gardeners,\u201d<\/strong> said Greg Mast, manager of the Urban Orchards program at TreeFolks. \u00a0\u00a0\u201cAnd they make a great perch for a cute little partridge<\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
