Sapling Day Adoption at the Elisabet Ney Nature Day

Join TreeFolks at the Elisabet Ney Museum for our fourth Sapling Giveaway of the season as part of Elisabet Ney Nature Day! We will be giving away multiple varieties of saplings to the Central Texas community.
There are no requirements to receive your free tree except to show up and pick your tree, and then promise to care for your tree for up to two years.
Trees reduce energy bills, increase property value, clean the air and water, prevent soil erosion, provide wildlife habitat, and are the easiest way to combat climate change.

Celebrate Austin’s panoplific flora and fauna with a sapling giveaway courtesy of TreeFolks, really cool new art/nature hands-on projects, interactive demonstrations, and much more. This event will really wow kids and adults alike! You’ll learn about urban Owls too, in a talk at noon! Discover local environmental outreach programs, wildlife rescue, and science education opportunities. Artist Barbara Attwell will also be talking about her work on display in the exhibition “Rewylding”.
Elisabet Ney was a devout naturalist, drawing artistic inspiration from her central Texas environment. It’s changed some–it’s in a city now(!)–but there’s still a lot of inspiration to be had!
