Waller Creek Tree ID walk and Happy Hour

Join TreeFolks and Waller Creek Conservancy for a guided walk along Waller Creek to learn about our urban trees and riparian vegetation and their roles in creating a healthy creek system. We’ll learn how to identify some common trees and riparian plants and hear about Waller Creek Conservancy’s creek restoration project. We'll also meet an amazing co-Texas champion Durand Oak! Tree TLC at Akins High School

Please come and join us in giving the trees at Akins High School some much needed Tender Loving Care. These are trees that our volunteers helped to plant back in December 2015. We'll be clearing debris and weeds from around the base of the trees and then spreading mulch to protect their roots from foot traffic and keep them nice and cool during our summer months.
