Ready, Set, Plant!

A Creekside Sapling Program

Ready, Set, Plant! is a riparian sapling planting program that takes place from November to February.

Ready, Set, Plant! is a volunteer tree-planting program that plants 10,000 trees each year along Austin’s creeks and rivers. We educate volunteers on proper tree planting techniques and riparian restoration in partnership with the City of Austin’s Watershed Protection Department and Keep Austin Beautiful. Some of the benefits of creekside planting include cooler water for aquatic life, erosion control, and filtering of pollutants from storm water. Our events are family friendly and provide an opportunity for community members to connect with Austin’s public lands.

The 2022 Planting Season has started!
