Tree ID for Seed Savers with The Trail Conservancy

This is not a volunteer opportunity; it is an educational event.

Ever wondered what kind of tree is growing in your yard or along your favorite trail? Or maybe you’re looking for a new way to connect with nature? 🌳 Join the Central Texas Seed Savers and TreeFolks at International Shores for a hands-on Tree ID lesson!

During this event, you’ll also discover how to safely and ethically collect seeds to contribute to the TreeFolks Seeds To Trees Native Nursery, which grows young trees for planting projects across Central Texas. It’s a chance to learn, give back, and see the forest for the trees—literally!

About Tree Identification

Tree identification is the practice of recognizing trees by their leaves, bark, shape, and other features—a skill that can deepen your appreciation for the natural world and help you understand the important role trees play in our local ecosystem. By learning to identify native trees, you’ll gain the tools to spot them in your own neighborhood, support their conservation, and share that knowledge with others.
