Volunteer to Rescue Native Trees/Habitat + Food Trucks

RSVP Required: https://givepul.se/lew2o6
Come work with TreeFolks Young Professionals to rescue live oaks, cedar elms, and other native trees from certain death by fast growing, invasive glossy privet (Ligustrum lucidum). To give the native trees and wildlife habitat an advantage, we will girdle as many mature privets as we can reach.

We’ll be lead by former TreeFolks president Cliff Tyllick who has been battling invasive species at Walnut Creek Metro Park for years. (equipment provided, but please bring water!)

All are welcome, so please invite a friend. We’ll head to Celis Brewery afterward for lunch (taco and pizza food trucks available, and a beer if that’s your style)

Please RSVP at this link, as details regarding the exact location within the park may change based on the current condition and will be emailed out: https://givepul.se/lew2o6

The event is finished.
