Volunteer Workday at the TreeFolks Nursery

Volunteer Workday at the TreeFolks Nursery

In 2023, TreeFolks embarked on a new project that will greatly enhance our mission and allow us to plant more trees!

We started our own native tree nursery where we are growing saplings and bigger trees in pots. The success of this project will rely heavily on volunteer involvement during both the continuing construction phase and day-to-day operation. You can help with shade structure construction, soil sifting and mixing, preparing plant bands, seed sorting and cleaning, sowing and transplanting, and more. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the propagation of woody species native to our region while contributing your time and effort to the worthy cause of growing more trees.

We will meet at the TreeFolks headquarters at 10803 Platt Lane, Austin, 78725.

No experience necessary! We will provide gloves and all other supplies, as well as coffee, water, and snacks. We look forward to working with you!

Please dress for working outdoors. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Bring a water bottle and take breaks when you need to!
