Tree ID Walk: Los Madrones Ranch

Join TreeFolks’ own Urban Forest Steward and Tree ID Docent, Ali Baucom, on a one-of-a-kind tree identification hike hosted in partnership with Texas Land Conservancy!

We’ll meet out at the esteemed Los Madrones Ranch in West Austin on Saturday, March 19, at 10:00 am to enjoy this amazing ecosystem firsthand. Madrones abound along with countless other tree species in this diverse, well-managed ranch and its iconic Central Texas forest.

This specific tree ID location is more of a hike than a stroll. Bathrooms are scarce and there is very little infrastructure on this ranch so please bring water, hiking shoes, long pants, and sunscreen, but also don’t forget your camera to capture some gorgeous hill country views!
