TreeFolksYP Tree & Trail Maintenance @ Balcones Canyonland National Wildlife Refuge

TreeFolks Young Professionals is teaming up with Friends of Balcones Canyonland National Wildlife Refuge for a volunteer workday!

We’ll be helping to maintain some of the Refuge’s beautiful trails, trimming dead and broken Ashe juniper tree branches impacted by the recent ice storm, and learning about the habitat of the Golden-cheeked Warbler.

We’ll be working under partial shade but be sure to bring plenty of water, and wear work gloved and clothing appropriate for working in the woods.

Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is an area of the Texas Hill Country known for its diverse plants and wildlife, steep limestone ‘balconies,’ and precious endangered species. Friends of Balcones supports wildlife and habitat conservation at the Refuge, and helps to broaden public awareness, education, and advocacy. Visit https://friendsofbalcones.org for more information about the Refuge.

RSVP on Eventbrite for full details and week/day-of logistics. Additional information will be provided to those attending – and bonus points for carpooling!
