Fruit Tree Planting and Tree Care at Urban Roots South Farm

Join TreeFolks to plant trees and provide tree care at the orchard at Urban Roots South Farm! You will help TreeFolks plant over 40 fruit trees and provide basic tree care, such as mulching, weeding, and pruning to retain moisture around the roots, prevent weed growth, and protect trees from extreme temperatures. You will learn a lot and have fun serving your community! Urban Roots donates at least 75% of the fresh produce they grow each year to increase food access here in Central Texas.

No experience or tools are needed. We will train everyone at the beginning of the event, and provide all tools, materials, gloves, water, and snacks.

Age Limit: Family Friendly

Requirement Details: Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to volunteer.
