Come plant saplings with us at Reimer’s Ranch

By November 17, 2011No Comments

We’ll be back at Reimer’s Ranch on Saturday, November 19 and Tuesday, December 6 to plant saplings at this beautiful Travis County park.  TreeFolks has been to Milton Reimer’s Ranch Park several times over the past few years and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to plant trees with us and explore the park.  We’ll plant Bald cypress, Live oak, Flame-leaf sumac, and Mexican redbud saplings along the slopes of the Pedernales riverbanks in pockets protected by boulders where grasses and other plants may already be growing.  The terrain is rocky, so please wear close-toed shoes (hiking boots if you’ve got ’em), bring sun protection, your water bottle and dress appropriately for the weather.  We’ll provide coffee and snacks to keep your energy up.  Please register at the link below so that we know how much coffee to bring!

Register to volunteer on Saturday, November 19th
