Riparian restoration at Bartholomew Park, TreeFolks - Feb 2014We are incredibly proud of the hard work of the 1,500 volunteers who planted trees with us at thirty events this fall and winter! Without volunteers, TreeFolks could not restore Austin watersheds, reforest the Lost Pines, or create more shaded neighborhoods. We’ve been fortunate to add two new staff members to organize those volunteers and to bolster our tree planting and educational programs. We are so very grateful to our donors and volunteers who have helped to make this the biggest, most impactful tree planting season ever! Spring and summer volunteer and educational events are in the works, as well. I hope you’ll come out to mulch trees in an Austin park this spring or attend a workshop to learn more about trees and tree care. As always, we’ll announce upcoming events here and through our newsletter, so stay tuned!
